In the summer of 2021, I was very excited to land a graphic design internship with The Invisible Me Warriors of Palm Beach Florida, a disability advocacy nonprofit. I worked remotely with their team initially in a research role, but quickly was moved into design, and then became their lead character designer. I worked on redesigning assets and characters, including both humans and animals. Additionally, I created designs for social media posts, reached out to and interviewed members of the disability community, and created created additional assets for website and marketing purposes. I was the only intern offered the opportunity to come back for a paid freelance position when the summer ended, and I continued to work with them designing assets for their mascot, Zeebee the Zebra.
